"Since the business was launched in May 2010."
In a nutshell, what does your business do?
"We are a customer service business that happens to let and manage residential property across Somerset."
What do you like most about your job?
"The variety it brings and the challenge of delivering a great customer experience in an industry that is regulated by over 100 Acts of Parliament and statutory regulations. No two days are the same with each bringing an opportunity to help different people solve diverse problems. Also learning something new every day makes life at Jungle Property very interesting."
What’s the best thing about working at Jungle Property?
"We want to be a business that is defined by not only how many new customers we acquire, but also the number we keep and how passionately they help spread the word so that brings with it a huge challenge and the need to improve continuously."
How did you feel when you found out that you’d won the Mendip Customer Service Excellence award?
"Shocked – we have been finalists and runner-up in many awards in the past but never won an award."
What’s been the best thing about winning your award?
"It’s an affirmation that we as a business are indeed on the right path to delivering the very best customer experience anyone can expect in the sector."
What impact has winning had on the business?
"It has given us added confidence and a lot of positive publicity, particularly through the local press."
Would you recommend entering the awards?
"Yes definitely. Entering the awards makes you stop and think very carefully about what you do as a business and ask yourself questions like just how good are we? How do we know we are that good? Is there something else we should be doing to be a better? Also its FREE! It costs nothing to enter the awards and local businesses should be proud to support local awards. If you really want your business to be the very best at whatever it does, then why not pitch yourself against the best and you may be pleasantly surprised what you can achieve."
Do you have any advice for anyone considering entering the awards?
"Just do it! You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain and the awards evening is a very well organised chance to network with the very best businesses in the area with some great local food and drink! When completing your entry, answer the questions directly and present evidence that shows you really are worthy of an award."
